INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING APPLICATION FOR WRITTEN ENTRANCE EXAM
1.GENERAL
1) Online applications are invited for the written test to be conducted for 15TH Course SESSION - 2025-2027 of MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH ARMED FORCES PREPARATORY INSTITUTE, Mohali (for boys), as per details given below-:-
a) Application forms are to be submitted online at https://recruitment-portal.in
b) The application link will be open from 20 Nov 2024(11 am) to 22 Dec 2024(5 PM).
c) Online forms are to be filled by candidates themselves. No proxy applications are allowed.
d) Examination Fees is Rs 500/- (Five Hundred only)
2.ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-
Following will be applicable with no relaxation to any category of applicants: -
(a) Only BOYS with a Punjab Domicile are eligible.
(b) Should be pursuing Matriculation (10th) of any Board.
(c) Date of Birth SHOULD NOT BE BEFORE 02 JUL 2008
(d) Candidates should exhibit a perceptible desire to join the Armed Forces.
3.CONDUCT OF EXAMINATION:-
a) Examination will be held from 11:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs on 12-01-2025(Tentatively) at designated centres in the state. Centres will be decided depending on the number of applications received from various regions of Punjab. Details of the examination centres will be intimated on the admit card. No TA, DA will be admissible for appearing in the exam and subsequent tests/interview.
b) Results of the written test will be available approximately after one week from the date of conduct of the written exam. Candidates are advised to visit the web site of the Institute (afpipunjab.org) and on http://recruitment-portal.in

4.GUIDELINES FOR ATTEMPTING WRITTEN EXAMINATION
a) Fill the online application form available on the website https://recruitment-portal.in by clicking at the link. “Entrance Exam, Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI” .
b) Fee for the application will be paid online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking till 24 Dec 2024 (Up to 5 PM)
c) Application forms can be filled online from 20 Nov 2024(11 am) to 22 Dec 2024(5 PM)
d) If any candidate has filled in any wrong/incorrect information, he is permitted to correct the same up to 5:00 PM, 22 Dec 2024 by entering his registration number and password. After 22 Dec 2024(5 PM) , no editing will be permitted and thereafter information will be locked. No further change or editing will be allowed after 22 Dec 2024(5 PM)
e) Candidates are required to apply online only. Latest passport size photographs with cross sign is required to be uploaded.(* Not older than three months)
f) On successful submission of the form, candidates are required to take the printout of the filled application form which will have registration number on it. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO RETAIN THE PRINTED COPY OF THE FORM till completion of the admission process
g) For any problem in filling of form, help can be taken from the C-DAC help line Number 0172-6619062 and Email: Recruitment-portal@cdac.in available during working hours (Monday to Friday)
h) Candidates are advised to visit website https://recruitment-portal.in regularly for any important information/update by C-DAC.
i) Candidates will be required to provide their valid mobile Number
j) In case a candidate is unable to get the ‘PRINT OUT’ of the submitted form, he should re-try the same procedure again
k) The list of candidates whose fee is confirmed will be displayed on web site – https://recruitment-portal.in for reference with effect from 04th Jan 2024
l) The candidate can download their ADMIT CARDS by visiting the website https://recruitment-portal.in by entering his registration number and password (Candidates are advised not to disclose the password to any one for data security) with effect from 09 Jan 2024 . In case any candidate is unable to get the admit card, he must contact C-DAC Mohali personally or on helpline numbers two day before the said examination upto 5:00 PM, failing which department will not be held responsible.
m) Candidates will be responsible for correctness of the information in the on-line application form. Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI or C-DAC shall not be responsible for any mistaken or incorrect entry made by the candidate
n) The examination will be held on 12th Jan 2025(Tentatively) from 11:00 am .
o) Names of candidates called for interview will be available on http://afpipunjab.org & https://recruitment-portal.in . The date shall be announced separately on the C-DAC website.
p) The venue date and time of interview will be available on the website www.afpipunjab.org Candidates will not be informed individually about the result and interview schedule
q) Approx Number of Seats for the course is 48 and is subject to minor changes.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES WHILE APPEARING FOR THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION:-
1) The candidates should reach the examination Centre TWO HOURS before the start of the examination. At the examination Centre, the candidate will be required to produce his admit card pasted with latest passport size photographs duly attested by self along with the identity proof (Aadhar Card/School Identity Card signed by Principal).

WILL NOT (R) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION
2) The candidate must satisfy himself that he fulfills all the eligibility conditions for admission. Appearing in the examination and qualifying test does not entitle him for admission to the Institute. The selection will be subject to his being found eligible. Verification of original documents would be done at the time of interview which will be intimated only to successful candidates. The purpose would be to verify aspects related to Identification marks, age, qualifying examination, state of eligibility and any other aspects related to domicile and eligibility. On failing to establish the veracity of any of the documents at the time of interview, the candidate will not be considered for admission and his candidature will be summarily cancelled
3) The written exam will include question from MATHEMATICS, ENGLISH, AND SOCIAL STUDIES . Question paper will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE having a total of 150 questions (Maths 80, English 40 and Social Studies 30). Answers will be recorded on OMR sheet. Level of questions will be of the 10th standard of CBSE. Answers will be recorded on an OMR sheet provided. The duration of the paper will be of THREE (3) hours. There will be NEGATIVE MARKING for wrong answers.Each right answer will fetch FOUR marks and wrong anser MINUS ONE mark
4) Candidates should bring with them BLUE or BLACK Ball Pens . Books, written notes, calculators, mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic devices will not be permitted in the examination hall.
5) Candidates who have already passed Class 10th and are currently studying in Class 11th may also apply provided they meet the age criteria. However, such candidates will be required to repeat Class 11th if selected for admission to AFPI.
6) Allocation of Centres. Examination Centre will be allotted to candidate by Govt. of Punjab, according to the availability/strength of candidates in an area/zone. No change in allotted Centre will be accepted
